Happy Friday babes! I’ve been trying to juggle school, work, studying for the bar and blogging this past week and things have been a tad crazy! And during all the insanity, I realized I hardly share professional attire, which is ironic, because I wear it a good chunk of the week. So here’s my perspective on work wear and how to integrate your personal sense of style into it! These two looks are super easy recreate if you’re looking for some office appropriate inspo and can be easily updated with items you already own or some of the options I’ve linked!
This is is my go-to look for the courtroom! It is a rich navy colored suit that has a very feminine fit ( linked the exact suit below). For court, I always pair it with a neutral-colored blouse underneath but I will play with the texture. This silk blouse has a pleat down the center that keeps this look simple but elegant. It is one of my favorite blouses and is actually on major sale right now! I usually tuck it into my pants and I love that it doesn’t create any strange bumps.
To finish off this look I usually wear a pair of baby blue kitty heels that are comfy and add a slight pop of color! They are a nice option when I get tired of wearing black and nude heels every other day. With a suit pretty it isn’t hard to pull together a chic work look!
The second outfit is what I call my “70s Flair” look. I paired my favorite high waisted trousers with a bold print blouse and threw over a winter green blazer. I love wide leg pants for work because they are comfortable 8 to 5 at a desk and can be worn year-round.
This blouse is from Dos Femmes in El Paso and screams Mila Kunis’s adorable 70’s vibes! This is one of those looks I recreate all the time with different color palettes! I have similar pants in turquoise, plaid and white and find tons of fun print blouses to mix and match. It’s also the perfect opportunity to use a fun colored blazer to tie the entire look together. Once you have a good pair of pants, it is easy to include your favorite blouse or colors into your work attire!
For accessories, the Styled Collection is a great place to snag a couple of bracelets to stack at an affordable price! I am not a huge bracelet wearer but when I do I always throw on a few of these! Accessories are a great chance to showcase your personality without being too bold.
A black leather backpack is just another finishing touch but can be a great alternative to a large tote! I honestly fluctuate between totes and backpacks because of school so suggested a few below that are beautiful and functional.
I hope y’all enjoyed this variation from my typical posts and will happily do more in the future.
Have a great day!
